Creating a safe environment is mandated by the United States Confernece of Catholic Bishops to ensure the safety of the most defenseless in our society, including our children and vulnerable adults.
Therefore, anyone wishing to volunteer are required to meet the following guidlines:
1. Sign a Diocese of Rochester Volunteer Code of Conduct Form
2. Pass the Criminal Record Check process
3. Complete the Creating a Safe Environment Training.
Note: Volunteer drivers for Church programs and events must have their driving record checked each year.
In addition to these requirements, all volunteers must continually renew their in Case, as determined by the Diocese of Rochester.
CASE training is available online and requires a potential volunteer to contact the individual parish. The Completion Certificate, Volunteer Code of Conduct, and results from the quiz must be printed and brought to the Parish Office.
